First Day Of High School Question……?

Okay, this isn’t one of those questions where i’m asking what the first day of high school is going to be like, because mine already started. High school started this wednesday, and it is currently sunday. On friday, my english teacher gave me a prompt askng me to describe my first days of school.

Im done with the essay, so can you PLEASE rate it on a scale of 1-10.

Thank you so much, and first rater gets 10 points.

It was Wednesday, August 19th. The weather was hot, humid, and cloudless. It’s my freshman year, and the days leading up to the 19th made me feel every emotion possible. For instance, I had felt excited, nervous, scared, happy, and even adventurous towards my first few days in this new school. For some, it was just another year in William Penn High School, but for the freshman such as me, it was just the beginning.

The day started with my alarm failing to wake me up. Lucky for me, I always had a backup: my mom. After a deluxe breakfast (you know, the eggs, sausage, toast, and coffee), it was time to set sail. Since the students at William Penn High School didn’t get their school shopping lists until after school started, I didn’t need to carry anything besides the standard “pencil and paper.” The bus stop was nothing new for me. Most of the kids their were friends of mine from the neighborhood. After our “late bus” arrived, we all got on. The bus was already pretty full, but there were a few empty seats in the front. I chose an empty seat, than anxiously awaited the arrival to our new school.

When I had arrived at William Penn High School, I gazed up at it’s “grand entrance,” took a deep breath, and walked in. Upon my entrance, there were four hallways. Straight ahead were two wooden doors leading into the school’s auditorium. At least, that’s what I think is beyond those doors. On both the left and right sides of the auditorium doors were two small hallways, maybe 4-5 people wide, which led to a few classrooms. Next to the small hallway on the left was the school’s main office. And next to the small hallway on the right was one of the school’s cafeterias. To make it a little bit more understandable, I’ll put this in “clock form” for you. Upon entrance, the auditorium is at 12 o clock. Next to the auditorium are the smaller hallways, which are at 11 and 1 o clock. The school’s main office is at 10 o clock, and one of the cafeterias is at 2 o clock. Lastly, two larger hallways lay at 9 and 3 o clock. Not knowing where to go, I absent-mindedly walked down the larger hallway on the right. Power walking, I eventually ended up at a dead end. To my right was a staircase, and to my left were both a classroom and a teacher. After asking this teacher for directions, she told me to head up the staircase, turn left, and that my class would be a little further down on the right. Upon following her directions, I made it to the entrance of my class. So far, so good…

Attached to the wall by the entrance was a picture of my Advisory (homeroom) teacher, and his name. The paper read “ Mr. Sable ” and had a picture of an average looking male teacher. As I walked through the door, several new faces had emerged. Out of the 20 something students, there was probably only one or two familiar faces. You see that’s the thing with huge schools such as this one. You spend your whole life around one set of kids. Most of the time, the kids you grow up with in Elementary school are still by your side by the time you reach high school. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my case. I knew that some of my friends were going to this school, but due to this school’s size, they were probably in some other part of this building. After a few minutes of the expected silence in the classroom, the teacher started to talk. He covered everything from the school’s information, to our next classes, to where/when each student would be eating lunch.

After the first four periods flew by, it was time for lunch. After an almost ten minute journey to the cafeteria, I discovered that I was in a room full of sophomores and above. I didn’t recognize anyone. As I approached one of the lines for lunch, I saw a few girls that I knew from my old school: thank god. Eating lunch alone, especially in a cafeteria filled with kids that knew each other, would have pretty much sucked for me. After we met up, the three of us chose a line, and eventually got our lunch. The rest is pretty much self-explanatory. When the next bell rang (which sounded like an electronic hum), that meant our thirty-minute lunch break was over. From there, I went to Spanish and health. All of the classes today were pretty much the same thing: Teachers giving out packets explaining the class rules, and also what to bring for each class (class materials). This day was going by faster than I had ever imagined.

According to my schedule, the last class of mine was Aerospace Science/ Leadership 1. This was just a big word for AFJROTC. Upon arrival, everyone was already in fo

I have a query about my dreams. Is this lucid dreaming and am I a lucid dreamer?

In my dreams, I would always be aware of the events in the dream around hours in the dream but I believe to be mere minutes in real life. To be more specific, it seems that it FEELS like I witness events in the dream worth of hours while it’s just around around 1 minute- 5 at maximum in real life because I would always wake because of my alarm clock.

Now is this a lucid dream? I don’t manipulate any of the elements that appear; for example, I’m sure I can fly if I wish to in the dream but I chose NOT to and just let the dream environment stay untouched and it appears to resemble real world physics and society like gravity, weather, and real life interaction of people you passed while walking in streets. Now if some of you might say that I’m actually manipulating the environment to resemble real life setting, I’m not sure myself whether to agree or disagree with that one.

The second part, which I believe is crucial, is that I don’t think I’m anywhere on the actual dream events at all. It feels like I’m somewhere above (like an angel or even god) that watches people like a movie and the dream scenes shifts from one to another but I’m sure it’s all in the same "film". Then when I wake up, I can recall many of the details (showing that I’m mentally strongly enough to remember them) at which point I write them down.

I would like to mention that I may be seeing things dreams like a director or god in my dreams because (In real life) I’m currently writing a script and I’m composing the plot scene by scene.

Any advice on buying a good projection digital atomic clock with a good radio and weather…?

…capabilities, under 0?
I’m looking for a projection clock that would project the time and the temperature simultaneously (rather than switching back and forth). Also, it should have a clear-reception FM radio (preferably with the ability to preset certain stations) a radio alarm, be atomic (and regularly, automatically resetting), with an easy to read, clear, adjustable projection, a soft backlight that wouldn’t wake you up but turns automatically on at night, be able to plug into the AC outlet and have backup batteries, and be able to monitor and preferably, predict the temperature and weather, and display either the temperature or the weather, or both, along with the time.

I found something like the above but it’s missing several functions listed and i suspect it to be overpriced even with the lack of functions. I’ll provide the link to the item anyways to give you an impression of what I’m looking for:

Thank you for your suggestions.
