Projector Alarm Clocks
Projector Alarm Clocks: You’re in your happy place – a tropical island where the palm trees sway and a gorgeous guy/girl is waiting to answer you’re every need, where chocolate is the key to dietary success, where seabirds sing your praises, where the beautiful come out to play and hottest person on the planet has eyes only for you. You are just about to lean in for the most romantic……………and then the emergency sirens wail and everything is thrown into chaos…so much for that sweet dream.
The bedside manner of most alarm clocks leaves a lot to be desired – the majority of them have all the grace and subtlety of a jackhammer against your eardrum, erasing any good mood that such a dream would bring. So if you’re “not a morning person”, perhaps the key to your bad attitude when you first stumble out of bed is that tasteless alarm clock you’re waking up with.
Forget going to the effort of rolling over to check the time. With this alarm clock you can project the time right onto your wall or ceiling, anytime of the night.
Simply position the projector on the side of the clock to the space in your room where you want the time displayed, and when the alarm gently goes off each morning, the time will appear on that surface. All you need do is open your eyes and look up to see what time it is…
…and if you want to finish off that dream, simply press the snooze button for another five minutes of bliss!
Can anyone recommend a projection alarm clock?
I have purchased two different models of projection alarm clocks and both had the digital numbers break up. Has anyone tried the Avon Spa Finder model? or can anyone recommend a good model?

A poetic reminder of things to come?
The Day
Written by Semper Fi Reborn
The alarm clock went off,
As it always did.
Flashing: 6:00AM,
So out of bed I slid.
Right to my knees,
To begin to pray,
For all that God,
Would send my way.
After prayer,
I brushed and showered.
Feeling renewed and full,
Of God’s Love and Power.
Thinking of how,
My day would go.
Would it fly by?
Would it crawl slow?
Had a quick bite,
Then out I went,
Not knowing this day,
Would be the end.
For as soon as I kissed,
My wife goodbye,
I heard a trumpet from the sky.
The clouds rolled away,
And there in the clouds.
Was the King of kings,
Angels all around.
Before I could utter a sound,
A sigh,
We were all rejoicing,
In the sky.
I knew that He,
Would come this way.
But never knew,
This was The Day!

A good start for my book?
“When life gives you lemons, tell life that it sucks…”
Great, the last day of the 9th grade and I can’t even find my socks. My mothers nagging me to get ready, sisters packing for college, and my dad is still asleep. If our home were a business, we’d all be fired. Well, actually we wouldn’t need a job. Mommy’s a doctor, and all Daddy does is sit around sucking in air. You can guess who wears the pants in this family, Though this is more like a zoo. But anyway, I’m Eric. The sexiest man in the 9th grade. Totally joking. I am 14 years old (you might have guessed) and in no way do I sleep with a teddy bear, no matter how many times my friends say. I have an older sister who is going to college (Hooray) and I will be the only child. I have made it my duty to never fall in love with another girl I would give anything to be sitting with her right now, but that’s not going to happen. I can only hope she will remember me.

I swiftly gathered my backpack from the mess I call my closet. I was already 10 minutes late, thanks to my piece-of-crap alarm clock. I should have known it was junk when it read 6:67 a.m. My mother opened the door looking really uptight. She never likes to be late…ever. “Can you please hurry up, we are already 11 minutes late.” She asked quickly tapping her foot against the hardwood. She thinks I’m too senile to tell time. I leapt over my bed in a mad dash for my mother, grabbing my lunch out of her hands. “Let’s go, move it, move it,” my mother called as I flew down the stairs, skipping a few with each stride. As my feat hit the tile, I smiled to myself. There she was – my sister- hugging her dad like a little child. I really would miss her, though god forbid I tell anyone. My sister was always tall. I’m talking 6 feet tall. She played basketball in high school, and then sadly broke her leg.
She was out for around 4 months. She got a call saying that she had been kicked off the team and she was heart broken. I had never seen Mandy cry like that. I told her ‘It’s fine, now you can focus on school work’ and now I guess she listened to me. She’s leaving Oklahoma to go to college at Purdue. She walked pass me and flicked my head, knocking me out of my daze. That’s the Mandy I knew. “Bye Mandy,” I called after her. “Hey, dweeb,” She started, and then her face softened, “I’m gonna miss ya’.” I watched as she turned away, skipping down the stone path to her van. I would see her in a few months…But I couldn’t wait…
It’s going to be a funny story, and i wanted to know if this was a good Prologue for it…please reply
What do you think of the beginning?
Here is my beginning of my story-
Pain. I felt sharp needle like feelings run through my body. I wondered if it was possible to survive such circumstances. My heart pounded in my chest as if it was going to explode. It was strenuous to breathe.
I looked around the room, dark, cold, a place where a rat might want to live. I had no intention of living. My life was done, or so I thought. Shadows shifted along the walls, the white window panes the only color in the dark room. Voice was all I could hear, they were low murmurs.
As I tried to support my weak body the pain came again, worse. I saw a new figure. He had dark shaggy hair and unforgettable deep sea blue eyes. He hurried over to me ignoring the other figures in the room. My heart pounded as loud as an alarm clock. My breathing became abrupt, inhale exhale inhale exhale! It was so quick that I instantly stopped breathing. My eyes closed and everything blackened.
I knew I was still alive. I could hear the talking in the room. I could hear but not comprehend. I heard my name once or twice but I thought I was hallucinating. A soft, warm hand touched my cheek. I opened my eyes again, still not breathing. It was the boy with the dark hair. I had to breathe, for him. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. I slowly restarted my system.
More talking that I did not understand. I heard my name. Several times actually. In a row. I guessed someone was calling my name. Who? I had no time to answer questions; I didn’t even know where I was. A new figure stepped in the dark murky room, his stance angry. More talking. More hearing my name.
I took a deep breath and tried to make out the words, “She has to go! Emrys you can’t change her! She’s human and that’s what she’s meant to be!” an angry voice yelled. I saw something fly at me. “I’m sorry,” was the last thing I heard.
Tell me what you think, why you think that, and if you don’t like it how can I make it better?
